Wrinkle Reduction

  • BOTOX®
  • BOTOX® Cosmetic temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crows feet by blocking nerve impulses that cause facial muscles to contract. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a non-surgical injection with no downtime. Treatments at Dallas Medical Spa typically take about 10 minutes.

  • Dysport
  • Dysport is the newest treatment for the temporary improvement of fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet. This injectable treatment is done quickly and requires no downtime.

  • Skin Tightening Device
  • Skin tightening procedures combine safe and effective levels of both infrared light and RF energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin. Dallas Medical Spa utilizes both Sciton ST™ and Syneron™ eMax technology for consistent, comfortable and fast treatments with virtually no downtime. Skin tightening can improve skin laxity and texture by the smoothing and firming effect of the procedure. These are non-abrasive treatments, and most patients leave their appointment with only slight pinkness or none at all.

  • Laser Resurfacing
  • When skin is treated with Dallas Medical Spa’s Sciton Erbium laser or ProFractional™ technology, a layer-by-layer vaporization occurs due to the high water content of the epidermis causing undesired skin to literally evaporate, restoring a smoother, more youthful appearance. Erbium resurfacing can treat both superficial and deep wrinkles from aging as well as sun-damaged skin. Treatments are quick, virtually pain-free and result in less post-operative swelling and redness. Short recovery time means patients can return to normal activities almost right away.

  • Liquid Facelift
  • What is a liquid face lift?
A liquid face lift is an in-office procedure performed by a medical doctor using dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse, or Restylane to restore the youthful appearance of the face. The dermal fillers are used by the doctor to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, add volume to the face, firm up sagging areas, reduce bags under the eyes, and provide fuller lips. The doctor uses his experience to sculpt your face to a balanced, more youthful state.

Why should I get a liquid face lift?
After age 35 our faces lose a teaspoon of fat and connective tissue a year causing our faces to become hollow in some places and sagging and wrinkled in others. A liquid face lift helps to restore and correct the adverse effects aging has on our facial skin. The good part about a liquid facelift is that it does not last for years. The reason this is a good thing is that our faces change over time and what is a good correction today may not be a good correction in 2-3 years from today.

How does a liquid face lift work?
The doctor injects the dermal filler under the skin in a specific manner to correct wrinkles and tighten the skin. The dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid which is a natural component of our skin which lessens as we age. The hyaluronic acid based dermal filler absorbs and keeps water in the skin to achieve the desired results. It gradually disappears over time as it is naturally reabsorbed by your body and so you do not have to worry about waking up one day and all your dermal filler is gone.

    Is the liquid facelift painful?
The doctor will use a combination of topical numbing gels and nerve blocks to help reduce the pain of the procedure. Some patients have different tolerances to pain and some of the areas treated on the face are more sensitive than others such as the lips. Some of the dermal fillers have numbing medicine in the syringe with the filler. There is very little pain after the procedure but there can be soreness, bruising and swelling afterwards. This minor discomfort can be easily alleviated with over-the-counter Tylenol.

How long does the procedure take?
The numbing gel takes approximately 30 minutes to set in and then the procedure itself takes 30 to 60 minutes.

What are the benefits of a liquid facelift versus a traditional surgical facelift?
A traditional surgical facelift involves the risk and expense of general anesthesia. A traditional surgical facelift has more downtime, requires incisions, and stitches. It also is significantly more expensive ($5,000 to $10,000) and takes weeks to show the final improvement. A liquid face lift is much less invasive and much less risk. A liquid face lift has considerably less pain and the results are instantaneous. You can have the procedure and go directly back to home or work. A liquid face lift costs $1,000 to $3,000 and lasts 6-12 months and in some cases even longer.

What is the cost of the liquid face lift?
The cost depends on the number of syringes necessary to achieve the results you and your doctor have chosen to pursue at the time of your free consultation. The range of costs is usually $1,000 to $3,000.

How long does the liquid facelift last?
It usually lasts 6- 12 months.

How do I get the most out of my liquid face lift?
Avoid blood thinners and aspirin for 7 days prior to the procedure. Avoid excessive talking or drinking from a straw for 48 hours after your procedure. Do not rub your face in the treated areas for 48 hours. Increase water intake to stay hydrated.

What are the risks of the liquid facelift?
The most common side effect is minor bruising and swelling in the treated area. These minor side effects are temporary and can be concealed with make-up. We do recommend that you do not get the procedure within two weeks of an important social event such as your wedding etc…There is a very low risk of bacterial infection as there is any time you use needles or are given an injection. Your doctor will explain the risks of the procedure and give you a written consent form during your free consultation.

What are the differences between the brands of fillers?
The difference in cost between the various brands of fillers is less than 10%. The fillers to be used for your treatment are decided by the physician. This decision is based on the contours of your face and the areas to be treated. For example, some dermal fillers do not work well on the lips but provide outstanding results in the nasal labia fold. The physician will explain this and answer any questions during your consultation.
